Not enough of time

Helen, Hannah, Barb, me and Allie

Ah...what a weekend. Gift searching after gift searching...not an easy task to find suitable gift for certain important people. Especially when you are on budget. Although I'm not buying many gifts this year, I still disfavor shopping during this season. Everything is disorganized and people are all over me. I think I spent year worth of time at the mall this past weekend or at least I felt like it. But then I do get excited as I anticipate on gift receiver's respond after opening my gift. Saturday, I felt really bombarded. First I was at church 9 in the morning to help setup for Julie's wedding reception. She also asked me to take pictures of all the friends during the reception but Pastor Alex wanted to speak to myself and Silas right after the ceremony. He actually wanted to let us know that he will be leaving our church to plant a multiethnic ministry in California. I was in shock...and somewhat concern. I felt like our ministry was gradually growing ever since he came to our church...and now he's leaving so soon. Although expected, I felt really bad for him after witnessing a lot of our members not taking his resignation very nicely. We just need to trust that this is part of God's plan for everyone. Anyhow, after a long conversation and praying...we ended up not getting any dinner that night because by the time we went back to reception, most people were already gone...so, I did not fulfill my duty to take all the pictures I should have taken for Julie. Then, poor Silas had to drive all the way back to VA without dinner and I had to rush to catch a ride to get to Jen's birthday party in Center City...good wines and wonderful friends as usual...but then, I got so sick from drinking red wine in empty stomach as I was riding in the car heading back home....I don't think I can have anything acidic for very long time.

Yeah, we had a blast! I haven't laughed that hard in a WHILE (I'm surprised I didn't pee in my pants!). And I have you and Allie to thank! :p LOVE YOU GALS (although, YJ, I must tell you that you violated me whilst on your way to the ladies' room).

Maybe we can do something similar next month for my bday...
