Happy Birthday

I had a surprise birthday dinner for S on Sunday. He hates surprises so I had to keep it secret from him. I also attempted to bake a cake but it didn't turn out to be quite nice... Silas wasn't so thrill about my cake but he still thank me for an effort.... : (

Marriage is not
about meeting that right person...
but it's about becoming a right person.

Heard this on a radio this morning. It's so easy to just expect my own pleasure and comfort from my husband... especially because he's always trying to meet my needs. I am so thankful for his love and patience but I don't want this to become natural for me. As God reveals to me how selfish I can be in my relationship, I hope and pray that I can grow to be a right person...to my husband but more importantly to God.
